Salim Swaleh, the former Director of Press Service in the Office of Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, has publicly asked for forgiveness.
In an emotional video, Swaleh expressed deep remorse for his involvement in a fraud case involving KSh 5.8 million.
He admitted to breaking the trust he had built with Mudavadi and shared the personal and financial struggles he has faced since the scandal came to light.
Swaleh mentioned that the negative publicity has made it difficult for him to leave his house and that he has even contemplated taking his own life due to the overwhelming pressure.
He pleaded for Mudavadi’s forgiveness and assistance in resolving the legal issues so he can rebuild his life.
Swaleh was arrested in June 2024 for being allegedly involved in a fraud case where he and others allegedly conspired to defraud KSh 5.8 million from a consultancy company by pretending to secure tenders for construction projects.
