“The National Executive Committee Now Resolves: To designate H.E. Prof. Kithure Kindiki, EGH as the Deputy Party Leader of the United Democratic Alliance Party effective immediately,” said Cecily Mbarire the party’s National Chairperson.

Kindiki on his part vowed to help President William Ruto realise his aspirations and those of the UDA party for the people of Kenya.

He emphasizes the importance of having a united country.

“I will do the job I have been given by the party to help the President achieve the agenda of the party and all members,” he said.

“It gives me pleasure today, as I give thanks to the party and the Almighty God for the privilege to assist this party in serving as the deputy party leader. The last few weeks have been momentous as we went through the constitutional and judicial processes that have led to the change of guard.”

The ceremony was held at the party headquarters.

It followed the impeachment of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who also ceased to be the deputy party leader.
