President William Ruto has jetted out of the country heading to Juba, South Sudan, for an official visit.

His visit to South Sudan aims at strengthening peace and economic relations.

This visit is part of the Tumaini Peace Consensus, a progressive model for inclusive peace-building in South Sudan.

According to State House spokesman, Mohamed Hussein, President Ruto and President Salva Kiir are scheduled to discuss strategic regional infrastructure projects, including the LAPSSET Corridor, which aims to boost trade by providing seamless connectivity between South Sudan and the Indian Ocean.

This visit follows President Salva Kiir’s recent trip to Nairobi, where both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to shared growth, regional cooperation, and sustainable development
