30 people have been injured following a road accident in the Sachang’wan area of Molo, along the busy Nakuru Highway, on Monday.
According to witnesses, twenty-six students and four staff members traveling from Eldoret town via their school bus, where they had attended the National Music Festivals, were hit by a tow truck that had brake failure.
“After hitting the school bus, the driver of the truck lost control and drove the car into the ditch, Yegon told a local media station.
The bus, in turn, rammed into several other vehicles.
The occupants in the two other private vehicles escaped the accident without any injuries.
Molo Traffic Police responded to the incident and hauled the wreckage to the Molo Police Station.
No casualties have been reported; all injured students and staff—three teachers and a cook who had accompanied the pupils—were rushed to the Molo Subcounty Hospital, where they are receiving treatment.
