This is what we know so far about the blast and its aftermath:

• A yet to be identified lorry that was loaded with gas exploded at around 23:30 (20:30 GMT)
• A flying gas cylinder hit a nearby warehouse which stores garments and textiles
• The fire further spread to nearby residential houses and damaged several vehicles and commercial properties
• Several people were caught in their houses as it was late at night
• Police have confirmed three fatalities
• More than 250 people were injured
• About 220 others are being treated at various hospitals
• The scene has now been secured and a tracing desk has been set up
