WhatsApp has announced the addition of a new feature that enables users to edit messages which will be rolled out soon worldwide.
The social platform owned by Meta has explained that users will be able to modify their messages within 15 minutes after sending them.
“When you make a mistake or simply change your mind, you can now edit a message sent on WhatsApp,” WhatsApp wrote in a blog post on Monday.
It has been explained that users will be able to edit by pressing the message for a few seconds and choosing “edit” in the menu, then the modified message will have the label “edited” so the recipients will know that the content has been changed.
Competing Apps such as Telegram already allow users to edit messages, while Twitter also allows premium users (Twitter Blue) to edit their creations within 30 minutes of posting.
