Deputy President Kithure Kindiki on Thursday hosted a delegation of over 1,500 grassroots leaders from Isiolo County at his Irunduni home, in Tharaka Nithi County. Kindiki highlighted Isiolo’s position as a key beneficiary of mega infrastructure projects, including the Sh100 billion Horn of Africa Gateway Road and the Sh28 billion Lamu Port–Ijara–Garissa–Isiolo road, which will open new trade and investment opportunities. He noted that the government is also rolling out Sh1.3 billion Affordable Housing projects and Sh712 million last-mile electricity connections to serve 3,000 households.
