The High Court has ordered Acting Police Inspector General Gilbert Masengeli to appear in person before the court at 3 PM today.
This follows the disappearance of two siblings and an activist in Kitengela two weeks ago.
The siblings, Jamil and Aslam Longton, along with activist Brian Njagi were reportedly abducted in Kitengela on August 19, 2024, by individuals in police suits who claimed to be police officers from Nairobi.
Despite a court order directing the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and police to disclose their whereabouts, their families are still seeking answers.
The families have shared details about a vehicle captured on CCTV that was involved in the abduction as plead for justice and the safe return of their loved ones.
The court’s directive underscores the seriousness of the case and the need for accountability from the highest levels of the police force.
