Tanzania inapiga kura leo, Oktoba 29, 2025, katika uchaguzi mkuu unaoonekana kumwendea Rais Samia Suluhu Hassan, anayewania muhula wa pili kupitia CCM. Uchaguzi huu umechochea mjadala mkali kuhusu uhuru wa kisiasa na haki za binadamu, hasa baada ya kuenguliwa kwa wagombea wakuu wa upinzani.
However, ACT Wazalendo has blamed Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) for the objections raised against its candidate Mr Mpina, terming the objections as unfounded and baseless.
The court ordered the INEC to immediately allow Mpina to return his form and continue with the process of nominating him as a presidential candidate.
The judges are expected to deliver their ruling on Thursday, September 11th. That decision will determine whether Mpina can return to the ballot as ACT-Wazalendo’s presidential candidate, or if the party will head into the polls without a flag bearer.

CCM launched its campaigns at Tanganyika Packers grounds in Dar es Salaam, led by President Samia Suluhu Hassan and her running mate Emmanuel Nchimbi.
ACT Wazalendo has rejected the ruling, calling it interference in the election process. Party Secretary General Ado Shaibu said Mpina had already fulfilled all requirements, including picking nomination forms, securing sponsors and swearing before court.
