Mbowe Convenes Party Crisis Meeting Following Ali Kibao’s Murder

Following the abduction, torture, and brutal murder of Chadema official, Ali Mohamed Kibao, Chadema Party Chairman Freeman Mbowe has convenes a party crisis meeting. Speaking during the emotional send-off of Mr Kibao in his Togoni home in Tanga Region, Mbowe said the meeting will discuss among others the next course of action the party will take.

The caucus will occur on Wednesday at the party’s Headquarters in Dar es Salaam. All party officials from the grassroots to the national level have been summoned.

”On Wednesday at 3 pm, leaders from all 102 Divisions of Dar es Salaam Region; Bavicha, Bawacha, and Bazecha, and the party national organ are invited.  Leaders from the Coast Region and all the Provinces in Tanzania let’s meet at the party headquarters. We have a word” Said Mbowe.

Mbowe, Flanked by other Party officials, said the death of Ali Kibao would be a wake-up call in Tanzania and they will use all means available to ensure justice is served.

” The bloodshed of Ali Kibao will be a wake-up call for all intimidations and political persecutions being subjected to our members by the state machinery. we will use all available judicial processes and other means to ensure justice is served and such heinous acts are stopped,” said Mbowe

During the burial, which was full of emotions and tension, Tanzania Minister for Home Affairs Eng Hamad Masauni was shouted down by angry mourners who demanded his resignation.

Ali Kibao was on Friday 6th September violently Pulled out of a moving bus in Dar es Salaam, abducted tortured, and later killed in cold blood before his face was doused by acid.

His lifeless body was found abandoned at the roadside in the Ununio waterfront district of Dar es Salaam on Saturday morning

Kibao was later buried on Monday afternoon according to Muslim custom. His death has elicited a national public outcry, with opposition squarely laying blame on the authority. They are calling for speedy investigations into the murder of Kibao.
