The recent wildfires in Los Angeles have caused widespread damage, destroying the homes of several celebrities and leaving many in shock as their multi-million dollar properties were consumed by the flames.
As the fires continue to rage, many A-listers have shared their heartbreaking experiences of losing their prized properties in the flames.
Among the famous names affected, singer and actress Mandy Moore, known for This Is Us, was forced to flee with her family and pets from the fire that leveled her Altadena home. Similarly, Star Wars star Mark Hamill evacuated his Malibu home, while This Is Us star James Woods posted a video showing the dangerous blaze approaching his Pacific Palisades property.
Other stars who have lost homes include actors Jamie Lee Curtis, Billy Crystal, and John Goodman. Billy Crystal, who had lived in his Pacific Palisades house for 46 years, described the loss as devastating but expressed gratitude for the love and support of his family. Meanwhile, Oscar-winning actor Anthony Hopkins’ property was completely wiped out, leaving only the gates standing.
Paris Hilton, known for her Malibu beachfront mansion, also watched in horror as the wildfires spread and destroyed her home. Hilton expressed her sadness on social media, sharing that her home, which held so many cherished memories, was gone.
Top Gun: Maverick star Miles Teller and his wife Keleigh Sperry lost their $7.5 million dream home in Pacific Palisades, as well. Their home, purchased in 2023, was completely destroyed by the flames, leaving them devastated.
Gossip Girl actress Leighton Meester and her husband Adam Brody, whose $7 million home was also among the destroyed properties, joined the long list of celebrities affected by the disaster. Brody and Meester, who have two young daughters, had purchased the sprawling property in 2019, only to see it consumed by the wildfires.
The wildfires have also impacted reality TV stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, whose home was engulfed by the flames. The couple, who evacuated in time, shared their grief on social media as they watched their house burn down on security cameras.
While some have been fortunate enough to save their lives, the loss of their homes, which were filled with cherished memories, is a heavy blow. The wildfires have forced the cancellation of several Hollywood events, including premieres and awards shows, as the city battles to control the flames.
