NAIROBI – The pursuit of excellence took centre stage at the Kenya Quality Awards 2026, where organisations that have placed quality at the heart of their operations were honoured for their outstanding performance.

The annual awards, hosted by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS), brought together a diverse mix of enterprises – from micro-enterprises to large corporations – all celebrated for upholding quality standards in the production of goods and delivery of services.
This year’s winners were recognised across key categories including Product of the Year, Service Organisation of the Year for both private and public sectors, and the coveted Overall Company of the Year. Runners-up were also feted for their strong commitment to raising quality standards in their respective sectors.
According to KEBS, the awards are more than a celebration. They are a deliberate effort to embed a culture of quality among Kenyan organisations, drive innovation and efficiency, and ensure consumers get better products and services.
KEBS emphasized that adherence to quality standards is critical for Kenyan businesses to remain competitive locally and to expand their footprint in international markets. The wide representation of winners – cutting across sectors and business sizes – underscored that quality is not a preserve of big corporates but a necessity for all.

The agency encouraged organisations to continue investing in robust systems and processes that guarantee consistent quality and compliance with standards, noting that the awards also offer a platform for benchmarking and continuous improvement.
Reaffirming its mandate, KEBS said it remains committed to supporting the adoption of quality standards to strengthen Kenya’s manufacturing and services sectors, build consumer confidence, support local industry, and enhance the global competitiveness of Kenyan products and services.
The Kenya Quality Awards 2026 thus served as both a celebration of industry leaders and a call to action for all businesses to make quality and continuous improvement a strategic priority.
