Baada ya ripoti za vyombo vya habari kuhusu hatua hii, wakili Elias Lukwago amesema kuwa Besigye, mwenye umri wa miaka 68, alianza mgomo wake wa kula tangu Jumatatu, akisema kuwa “hajabaki na chaguo ila kuanza mgomo wa kula”.
The country scored 32 out of 100, showing a slight improvement from 31 points in 2023. However, this score is still below both the Sub-Saharan African average of 33 points and the global average of 43 points.
