2021 FIBA AfroBasket championships to begin Tuesday 24th/08/2021. The FIBA AfroBasket 2021 championships is set to begin Tuesday in Kigali, Rwanda with four matches on the card. Kenya’s Morans will hit the courts at the Kigali Arena against Cote d’Ivoire in a Group ‘C’ encounter. Tunisia will take on Guinea in the festival’s first meeting at 11.30 am, while Egypt will face the Central Africa Republic Group ‘B’

The opening ceremony will start in the afternoon and will be followed by two more Group ‘A’ matches pitting hosts Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The last game of the day will see eleven-time champions Angola confront Cape Verde. Apart from Cote d’Ivoire, Morans’ other fixtures are against favorites Nigeria on Friday and fast-rising Mali on Sunday. The top five teams at the end of the two-week festival will book a ticket to the first and second window of the World Cup qualifiers that will run up to next year.
